On July 24th, 2022, the Wellsville Rod and Gun Club hosted a free trap shooting seminar. The course was conducted by certified instructor Ric McEnroe and was attended by ten participants eager to improve their shooting skills.
The course began with a classroom portion which focused on firearm safety, proper form and sight picture, and shooting stance.
Instruction then progressed to the trap range, where the participants had an opportunity to practice using the techniques presented by Instructor McEnroe.
Safety was further emphasized before any activity on the range.
Demonstrations of proper stance, hold and follow through.
Participants then had the opportunity to shoot clay targets and receive individual coaching to improve their technique.
After the lunch provided by Instructor McEnroe, the class participants shot the standard trap course. By all accounts, the course was a great success. It was an enjoyable experience for all involved and everyone benefited from the expertise and experience of their instructor, Ric McEnroe.
